Lot and Gate reaches people at a specific and narrow moment: they have already booked a cruise or a flight, and they are working out how to get from one to the other. They are searching for parking rates, terminal numbers, shuttle fares and drive times, usually within a few weeks of travel.

That makes this a useful place for off-site parking operators, shuttle and transfer companies, and businesses near the ports. It also makes it a bad place for anything unrelated to getting to a ship or a plane, which we do not accept.

What we offer

  • Sponsorship of a hub. A labeled placement on the guides for one port or airport, where your customers already are.
  • Inclusion in a comparison table when you publish a rate. This is free and is not for sale: if your fare is public, we list it like any other operator’s.

The rules, before you ask

These are not negotiable, and stating them up front saves both of us a conversation.

  • Sponsorship is labeled. It is visibly marked as a sponsorship and never presented as an editorial recommendation.
  • It does not buy a place in a comparison, a better position in one, or a favorable description. Comparison winners follow from published figures and a declared criterion.
  • It does not buy silence. If an authority publishes something unflattering about a route or a facility, it stays on the page.
  • No sponsored posts written as editorial. We do not publish advertorial under our own byline.
  • Your published rates are treated as any issuer’s. We quote them as you publish them, name you as the source, and date them.

Getting listed without paying anything

The most valuable thing an operator can do here costs nothing: publish your fare on your own website in a form a reader can find. Our guides can only compare rates that an issuer publishes, and operators who keep their pricing behind a phone call are the ones that end up as “not published” in the table. If you have a public rate page and we have missed it, send it to us.

Write to [email protected] with the hub you are interested in and what you operate. Availability depends on traffic to that hub, and we would rather tell you a hub is too small to be worth your money than take it. The wider editorial commitments are in the editorial policy.
