Orlando International Airport caps a $24 garage at 45 days and a $14 economy lot at 90
Orlando International Airport publishes a maximum stay for every parking product it prices, and that ceiling does not follow the rate. The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority allows 90 days in a $14 economy lot and 45 days in a $24 garage. Valet parking costs $35 a day and stops at the same 45.
A cruise week or a two week holiday leaves the car somewhere between seven and fourteen nights, well short of every ceiling MCO publishes. The ceilings still shape the shortlist, because the product carrying the longest one is also the cheapest paid space on the field, and because the field that ought to sort long stays from short ones does no sorting at all.
Everything below was read in September 2026 on flymco.com and on parking.flymco.com, the reservation site whose footer reads Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. The premises are fixed and stay fixed: one standard car under 7 feet 0 inches, seven consecutive 24-hour periods, no promotional code, and no reservation unless a row says otherwise. The rate ladder product by product belongs to the rate comparison across all fifteen MCO parking products, which this guide takes as given.
| MCO parking product | Maximum stay as published | Rate per 24-hour period | Seven nights at that rate | Cost of the full allowed stay |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| North Park Place, South Park Place and West Park Economy Lots | 90 days | $14 | $98 | $1,260 |
| Hyatt Valet Parking | 60 days | $35 | $245 | $2,100 |
| Terminal Top, Parking Garage A, Parking Garage B and Parking Garage C at the barrier | 45 days | $24 | $168 | $1,080 |
| Parking Garage C reserved on Level 4 | 45 days | $32 | $224 | $1,440 |
| Surface Lot Atlantis, Surface Lot Discovery and Surface Lot Endeavour | 45 days | $20 | $140 | $900 |
| Valet Parking | 45 days | $35 | $245 | $1,575 |
| Hotel Guest Parking at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport | No ceiling published | $19 per night self-parked | $133 | Not calculable, no ceiling published |
| North and South Cell Phone Waiting Areas | Vehicles may not be left overnight | Free | Not permitted | Zero nights permitted |
Thirteen of the fifteen MCO parking products carry the same Use line
Each parking page on flymco.com opens with a field labelled Use. Thirteen of the fifteen products Orlando International Airport names on its parking index fill that field with the identical five words, Long-term or short-term parking. The two exceptions are the North and South Cell Phone Waiting Areas, whose Use line reads Drivers waiting to pick up arriving passengers and whose conditions add that vehicles may not be left overnight.
The field therefore sorts nothing. The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority declares a $35 valet stall and a $14 fenced uncovered lot equally fit for a stay measured in weeks, and repeats the same five words a fourteenth time on the reservation listing for Parking Garage C at $32. A traveller reading the Use line to find the long-stay product gets every product back.
Length of stay does the sorting instead, and it is not printed as a field at all. It sits inside the cost row, in brackets, behind the daily rate: then $14 per 24-hour period (maximum stay 90 days) at North Park Place, then $24 per 24-hour period (maximum stay 45 days) at Parking Garage A, then $20 per 24-hour period (maximum stay 45 days) at Surface Lot Discovery. Nothing under Conditions mentions duration on any of the fifteen pages.
What the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority publishes about staying past 45 days
No product page on flymco.com says what happens on day 46. The sentence that does exists, and it lives on the reservation site instead. Under maximum length of stay, the Parking FAQs at parking.flymco.com give a number with a condition attached to it: Forty-five (45) days without prior notification to the parking department.
The same answer prints the way out. A driver travelling longer is told to contact the Parking Department by emailing [email protected] or by calling our customer service representative at (407) 825-3562 Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4pm EST for assistance. That is a 40 hour week, and it is not the week flymco.com gives for parking questions: the feedback form on the parking index promises a response within 24-48 hours, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Two GOAA parking desks, two schedules, an hour apart at each end.
Scope is where the answer frays. Reservations exist only at Parking Garage C Level 4, so a flat 45 days reads naturally as a reservation limit. The answer directly above it, on minimum stay, is scoped for all of our parking facilities, and flymco.com prints 90 days at all three economy lots and 60 days at Hyatt Valet Parking. Both sets of figures carry the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority behind them in September 2026, and neither page acknowledges the other.
What GOAA does not publish anywhere is a penalty. No product page names a fee, a fine, a boot or a tow for passing a ceiling. The one towing clause in the airport parking documents sits in the Reservation System Terms and Conditions, where the Aviation Authority reserves the right to enter, move or tow away your vehicle for operational, safety or security reasons, which is a different trigger from duration. On the evidence the airport prints, the 45 days is a notification threshold rather than a wall.
Three GOAA documents give three different minimum stays for one reservation
MCO sells a reservation only to long stays, and states the threshold three times with three values. The booking form at parking.flymco.com refuses a short one with the line Reservations are only available for stays over 24 hours. On the same site, the Parking FAQs answer that the minimum reservation stay is Twenty-four hours (24 hour) or part thereof for all of our parking facilities. The Reservation System Terms and Conditions, one click below, require a minimum duration of stay of twenty-five (25) hours.
A booking of exactly 24 hours is refused by the first rule, permitted by the second and an hour short of the third. Nothing in the three documents reconciles them, and all three carry the same footer, which reads Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. On a seven night trip the disagreement changes no price, and it settles a different question: there is no short reserved stop at Orlando International Airport, by design.
The same three documents disagree by an inch about the same garage. In the Parking FAQs the height restriction is 7 feet 1 inch for Garage C level 4. Its Reservation System Terms and Conditions state that parking is unable to accommodate oversized or high-profile vehicles in excess of seven (7) feet high. Over on flymco.com, the Parking Garage C page states that vehicles higher than 7 feet 0 inches cannot be accommodated. Three GOAA documents, one garage, three limits within an inch of each other, and a vehicle measured between them gets three answers.
Booking Parking Garage C ahead moves the car to Level 4 and takes the transponder lanes away
The reserved product and the drive-up product are the same garage. What separates them is not only the $8 a day that the Parking Garage C page prints twice over, once in a reservation banner at $32 and once in the rate table at $24, a pairing set out in full in the guide to what MCO charges at each barrier. The rest of the difference is operational, and none of it appears beside the price.
| What GOAA publishes for Parking Garage C | Reserved on Level 4 | Driving up to the barrier |
|---|---|---|
| Rate | $32 per 24-hour period | $24 per 24-hour period |
| Maximum stay | 45 days | 45 days |
| Minimum stay | 25 hours in the Terms and Conditions, 24 hours in the Parking FAQs | No minimum published, 20 minutes of grace |
| Payment accepted | American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa | Cash, Discover, American Express, MasterCard, Visa, E-PASS, SunPass Plus |
| E-PASS and SunPass Plus lanes | Reservations cannot be used in the E-PASS or SunPass Plus entry and exit lanes | Marked lanes, no ticket pulled, fee deducted at exit |
| Levels allowed | Level 4 only, no refund if parked elsewhere | Any level of the garage |
| Covered spaces | All spaces are covered | Most spaces are covered |
| Height limit as published | 7 feet 1 inch for Garage C level 4 | Higher than 7 feet 0 inches cannot be accommodated |
| Seven nights under the fixed premises | $224 | $168 |
| An unplanned eighth day | Charged at the posted drive-up rate on exit | $24, the same as the seven before it |
How MCO files these pages helps nobody looking for them. Parking Garage C, the single product the airport sells a reservation for, sits under flymco.com/parking-information/, while the folder called parking-reservations holds six product pages, three of them the economy lots whose Conditions line reads No reservations required. The index of that folder is not a list at all: it is one more product page for the reserved space in Parking Garage C at $32, and the booking itself happens on a third address, parking.flymco.com.
Reserve Parking is only available in Garage C level 4, and the booking page sells it as Daily Premium Reserved Parking, available in Garage C level 4 for Terminal A, B and C. A holder who parks somewhere else loses the money: there will be no refunds for reserve customers who park at a parking facility or level other than Level 4 of Garage C. Entry is a QR code scanned at a designated lane and scanned again at the Level 4 gate, and the Aviation Authority instructs drivers not to press the option for a physical ticket.
Timing is bought as well as booked. A booking includes a two hour entry grace period, illustrated by GOAA with its own example of a reservation from January 1st 08:00 AM to January 2nd 10:00 AM, which permits entry from 06:00 AM. Arrive earlier than that and the code will not open the gate. Arrive later and it makes no difference to the bill, because garage fees are calculated from the time of reserved entry and not when the code is scanned. Bookings open 365 days ahead and close 24 hours before the arrival time, so the reservation cannot be bought on the drive in.
Two details also move between the two GOAA sites. Only the Parking FAQs give Garage C an address, 10200 Jeff Fuqua Blvd. South, Orlando, FL 32827, which the Garage C product page never prints, since garage pages carry no location field. And the walk is described twice: three minutes on foot to Terminal C and five minutes via the APM train to Terminals A and B in the FAQs, against the four-minute Terminal Link ride flymco.com quotes on every garage page, including the one for the terminals and curbs the airport numbers.
Seven nights at each ceiling, and the eighth day that costs less than the seven before it
Under the fixed premises, seven nights costs $98 at any of the three economy lots, $133 at Hotel Guest Parking, $140 at a surface lot, $168 at a garage barrier, $224 on a Garage C reservation and $245 at either valet counter. The spread from the cheapest paid space to the most expensive is $147 for the same week and the same car.
The eighth night is where the reservation inverts. GOAA states that the purchase price quoted by the reservation system does not include any overstays, that any over-stay hours or days will be charged the drive up rate which may not be the same as the rate you paid for online reservation, and that a supplementary reservation cannot be created for the extra time. Only one code applies to one stay. The posted drive-up rate at that garage is $24, so a car that returns a day late pays $224 plus $24, or $248 across eight nights. Each of the first seven nights cost $32 and the eighth costs $24, which averages $31. Booking eight nights ahead would have cost $256, and driving up for all eight would have cost $192.
Coming home early runs the other way. No refunds are provided for shorter stays, and the Terms and Conditions add that a customer may stay less than the minimum duration but will still be charged for the time reserved. The barrier has no equivalent clause: it counts the 24-hour periods used. A traveller whose return leg is not yet firm is buying a fixed exit date at $32 a night while the same garage sells a flexible one at $24.
The winners are narrow and they are not the same product. For seven nights with no transponder and no fixed return, North Park Place, South Park Place or West Park Economy Lot wins at $98, and those lots carry the only 90 day ceiling MCO publishes. For a Terminal C departure by a driver already holding an E-PASS or SunPass Plus, Surface Lot Discovery or Surface Lot Endeavour wins at $140 for a walk through the Train Station with no shuttle wait, and the transponder rule disqualifies most rental cars first. For a stay that must clear a Level 4 space on a holiday weekend, the reservation wins, because GOAA states that a Full sign at the entry is for the information of customers who have not reserved. Past 45 days, only the economy lots stay inside a published ceiling. And for a cruise week, the comparison does not end at the airport: the same seven nights weighed against what the port charges to keep the car at the terminal is a different sum, reached over the 42 mile drive the airport publishes to the coast.
Rules that only bind a stay measured in nights
- Amending a booking is a cancellation and a repurchase. GOAA states that when the price of the new reserved period differs, the original reservation is cancelled and refunded and a new one created at the price then available, and that extending a reservation is treated as a new reservation which may not include the same prices offered when the initial reservation was made.
- The free window closes 24 hours before the reserved entry time. Cancel earlier and the refund is full; cancel later and the Aviation Authority charges in full for the reservation.
- Driving out ends the booking early. Once your vehicle is detected exiting the parking facility, your reservation will be treated as being complete, and a re-entry starts a fresh drive-up transaction at standard rates. Returning to the car mid-trip for a forgotten bag is a second stay.
- Accessible parking cannot be reserved. GOAA states that disabled parking cannot be reserved in advance while remaining available for holders of valid permits or license plates in all of our parking lots, and the DV License Plate waiver on the parking index excludes reserved parking outright.
- Electric vehicle spaces and motorcycles sit outside the reservation system entirely, in two one-line answers on the Parking FAQs.
- Vehicles higher than 7 feet 0 inches, or up to 25 feet in length, are directed to the South Park Place parking lot, which is also one of the three lots with the 90 day ceiling. The oversized vehicle and the longest permitted stay end up in the same place.
- Surface Lot Atlantis is closed beginning July 20 through mid-November, so an autumn week cannot use it even with a transponder, and travellers weighing airport parking against a transfer already included in the cruise fare lose one of the three $20 options for that stretch.
Five ways a week at MCO costs more than the daily rate implied
Buying a buffer. Reserved fees run from the reserved entry time rather than from the scan, so a booking opened two hours early for safety is two hours purchased. The two hour entry grace protects an early arrival, not an early booking.
Arriving more than two hours early anyway. The code will not open the gate, the driver is required to pull a parking ticket at the entrance and proceed to exit, and the reservation only works on a return no earlier than two hours before the booked time.
Using the wrong lane. A reservation holder who enters through the E-PASS or SunPass Plus lanes is told to exit through those same lanes and re-enter through the reservation lanes, which are the two lanes on the right side of the entrance plaza. A driver who pulls a ticket instead is sent to Level 4 to press the intercom.
Skipping the second scan. Customers that do not scan their QR code at the main entry lanes and again to enter the reserved level will have to pay at exit for the full amount of time they are parked, which on a seven night stay means the drive-up ladder applied to the whole week.
Returning early with a prepaid week. Nothing is refunded for a shorter stay, so a cruise that ends a day sooner leaves $32 on the table, while the same day at the barrier is simply not billed.
Where each ceiling and each reservation rule was read
The maximum stays, the rates and the Use lines come from the fifteen product pages linked from the parking index at flymco.com, read in September 2026. The notification clause, the three minimum stays, the 7 feet 1 inch figure for Level 4, the overstay rule, the two hour entry grace and the walk times come from the Parking FAQs and the Reservation System Terms and Conditions at parking.flymco.com, whose footer credits the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. Where the two sites disagree, both readings appear above with the document that carries them, and neither is corrected against the other.
The figures in this guide were verified in September 2026 against the sources named in each section. Parking rates usually change in January, shuttle fares and cruise line transfer prices change by season, and ship schedules change weekly; check the issuer’s page before you travel. No provider paid for placement here, and none can pay to appear. Where a booking link earns Lot and Gate a commission it is marked as sponsored and flagged in this line, and as of September 2026 no affiliate link is live anywhere on this site.
Questions about leaving a car at MCO for a week or longer
The answers below use the September 2026 readings above, including the 90 day economy ceiling, the 45 days the reservation site ties to prior notification, and the $24 drive-up rate that prices an overstay at Parking Garage C.
The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority publishes 90 days at the three economy lots, 60 days at Hyatt Valet Parking, and 45 days at Terminal Top, the three garages, the three surface lots and valet parking. Hotel Guest Parking carries no published ceiling, and the cell phone waiting areas allow no overnight vehicles.
The Parking FAQs at parking.flymco.com word the limit as forty-five days without prior notification to the parking department, and direct longer trips to [email protected] or (407) 825-3562, Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm EST. No MCO product page publishes a fee, a fine or a tow for exceeding a ceiling.
Paying at the gate is cheaper at the only garage MCO lets you reserve. Seven nights costs $224 on a Parking Garage C reservation at $32 per 24-hour period and $168 driving up to the same garage at $24. The reservation buys a Level 4 space, not a lower rate.
You pay the difference at the exit gate. The Aviation Authority charges over-stay hours or days at the drive up rate, which at Parking Garage C is $24 per 24-hour period, and forbids a second reservation covering the extra time. An eighth day therefore costs $8 less than each prepaid night.
Yes, up to 24 hours before the reserved entry time, refunded to the card that paid. Cancel later and the Aviation Authority charges in full. Returning early earns nothing back either, because GOAA states that no refunds are provided for shorter stays than the period reserved.
North Park Place, South Park Place and West Park Economy Lot, at 90 days each. They are also the cheapest paid parking MCO sells, at $14 per 24-hour period, and the only paid products that allow twice the 45 days permitted in Terminal Top and the three garages.
A ceiling that runs the opposite way to the price
Fifteen products, one Use line repeated thirteen times, and three different ceilings hidden inside the cost rows. The product the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority allows to sit longest is the one it charges least for, and the product it charges most for at the terminal, valet at $35, stops on the same day as the $20 surface lot.
Over a single week the ceilings change nothing at the barrier and a good deal at the keyboard. A seven night stay clears every ceiling MCO publishes, so the choice comes back to $98 at an economy lot against $168 in a garage and $224 on a reservation that also fixes the exit date. The ceilings matter to the traveller whose plans run long, and to that traveller the airport gives one number and one phone line.
Ninety days at $14 per 24-hour period, forty-five at $35. The ladder MCO climbs by price it descends by time.
