Eleven rental brands at DJT, three more in the accounting file, and not one price

President Donald J. Trump International Airport, formerly Palm Beach International (PBI), gives car rental two sentences and no brand names on its rental page. Its finance section then publishes fourteen rental companies by name, with gross revenue for each, in a monthly report that runs to June 2026.

Car Rental at DJT Airport: Lot and Gate guide

DJT car rental is eleven concessionaire brands and three permitted non-concessionaires, all reached from Baggage Claim desks on Level 1 by a complimentary shuttle to off-terminal lots. Nothing the Palm Beach County Department of Airports publishes says what any of them charges a renter. What it does publish, month after month since January 2021, is what they collect.

Every airport figure below was read twice from flydjt.org on 15 September 2026, comparing extracted text rather than byte counts, and the four revenue reports were downloaded twice and read with a raw text extraction. The car rental page, the non-concessionaire page, the airport FAQ, the parking page, the terminal map and all eleven brand pages returned identical text on both readings.

What the DJT car rental page says, in two sentences and no company names

The page carries one heading and one paragraph. It reads that car rental services are conveniently located in Baggage Claim on Level 1 of the airport terminal, then offers a link for contact information for off-airport rental car providers. No brand appears in that paragraph.

Three things fill the gap, and none of them is the paragraph. The page description, which is what a search engine quotes, states that the airport has several car rental companies on level one at the baggage claim and that services include Budget, Enterprise and Hertz “and more”. That three-brand shortlist is incomplete in a measurable way, because the county’s own June 2026 revenue report puts Avis at $925,757, ahead of the $888,118 it credits to Budget. The page also carries a listings widget configured to the Transportation category and the Auto Rentals subcategory, so the brand cards a browser draws are assembled from the airport’s listing database rather than written into the page. And the airport publishes eleven of those listings as pages of their own, one per brand, each filed under Auto Rentals.

Read the eleven and the picture sharpens. Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Fox Europcar, Hertz, National, Payless, Sixt and Thrifty each get a telephone number, a street address and a set of coordinates. Nine of the eleven are filed to the region “Main Terminal”; Fox Europcar and Payless Car Rental carry no region at all. Nine of the eleven carry the description “Car Rental” and nothing else. Miami files far more listings and gives addresses to a minority of them, which is the subject of the thirty rental listings MIA publishes and the thirteen it places indoors.

The fourteen companies Palm Beach County names in its Monthly Car Rental Gross Revenue report

The airport’s business section carries a page of Car Rental Reports holding 66 monthly documents, from January 2021 to June 2026. Each is titled Monthly Car Rental Gross Revenue, With Passenger Data, and each prints two columns: the month and the same month a year earlier. The June 2026 edition names fourteen companies.

Fourteen is exactly the eleven Auto Rentals listings plus the three permitted non-concessionaires, which is the only place those two rosters are reconciled. The report counts 298,757 deplaned passengers, 311,809 enplaned and 610,566 total for June 2026, against 293,160, 305,293 and 598,453 a year earlier.

Datura, listed as Datura Auto Rentals, an affiliate of Ace Rent a Car$14,442$8,277none published(800) 695-9995

Two entries reward a second look. Payless collected $5,756 in June 2026 against $62,283 a year earlier, a fall of 90.8 percent, and it is one of the two brands the airport files with no region. Datura went the other way, from $8,277 to $14,442, a rise of 74.5 percent, and it remains the smallest of the fourteen. The report also uses legal entity names where the listings use consumer brands: Hertz Corporation, Enterprise Leasing Company, Avis Rent A Car System, Inc. and Fox Rent A Car appear on the shop front as Hertz Rent-A-Car, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Avis Rent-A-Car and Fox Europcar.

Three corporate groups take most of what renters spend at DJT

Summing the fourteen June 2026 lines gives $7,745,214, a figure the report itself never prints, against $7,777,151 for June 2025. Divided by the 298,757 deplaned passengers the same document counts, the fourteen grossed $25.92 per arriving passenger, which is more than three days of the airport’s own $8 Economy parking.

Group the fourteen by owner and the market stops looking like fourteen competitors. Hertz Corporation, Dollar and Thrifty together took $2,200,729, or 28.41 percent. Enterprise Leasing Company, Alamo and National took $2,385,613, or 30.80 percent. Avis, Budget and Payless took $1,819,631, or 23.49 percent. Those three groups hold 82.71 percent of the month between them, leaving 13.71 percent to Sixt and Fox and 3.58 percent to the three non-concessionaires. The grouping is ours; the report lists the fourteen flat.

The addresses agree with the grouping in a way the report does not mention. Alamo, Enterprise and National share 2125 Belvedere Road and one identical pair of coordinates. Hertz and Dollar share 3175 Belvedere Road and one identical pair. Dollar and Thrifty carry the only real descriptions in the eleven listings, and both say the same thing: rentals, returns and services are handled at the Hertz rental facility at 3175 Belvedere Road. A renter booking Dollar or Thrifty is being sent to the Hertz building by the airport’s own text.

Seven street addresses, eight coordinate points, and one address filed in two places

Eleven brands resolve to seven distinct street addresses and eight distinct coordinate pairs in the airport’s listing data. Two of the seven sit on the terminal’s own road: Avis at 2500 and Fox Europcar at 2600 James L Turnage Boulevard, the street the airport gives as its own address at 1000 James L. Turnage Blvd. The rest sit on Belvedere Road or on Bristol Drive.

The eight-against-seven mismatch is worth naming. Thrifty is filed at 3175 Belvedere Road, the same street address as Hertz and Dollar, but with different coordinates, placing it about 0.07 miles from the point the other two share. Budget at “2005 Belvedere Road” and Payless at “2005 Belvedere Rd” are the same address written two ways, with coordinates about 0.04 miles apart. Measured between the published points, the widest gap in the whole set is about 0.81 miles, between Sixt at 2501 Bristol Dr and the Hertz address. Those distances are our calculation from the coordinates the airport publishes, not figures the airport prints, and no airport page gives a distance or a drive time from the terminal to any rental lot. Tampa hands every renter one building at the end of a train ride, which is why the fourteen counters Tampa gathers under one roof read so differently from eight scattered points.

The curb where DJT rental buses collect is published on the parking page

The airport FAQ asks itself “Are all of the car rental companies off-site?” and answers without saying yes or no: those companies have reservation desks on Baggage Claim, Level 1, and a short complimentary shuttle ride will take you to the rental lots. Given that every one of the eleven is filed to an address away from the terminal building, the answer is yes without the word appearing.

Where those buses stop is published, and not on any rental page. The Economy parking instructions tell drivers to cross the walkway from Domestic Baggage Claim near carousels 4 and 5 to the outer curb “where rental car buses pick up passengers”, then find the Economy Shuttle signage at the same spot. So the rental curb is documented inside directions written for people who parked their own car, and it is shared with the parking shuttle and, at the same outer curb on Level 1, with hotel courtesy shuttles.

One number on that page belongs to the parking shuttle and not to any rental bus. The 10 to 15 minutes the airport quotes is what the Economy Shuttle takes after the call button is pressed and the parking office notifies the driver. No DJT page publishes a frequency, a wait or a journey time for a rental company’s bus, and the call button is the parking office’s, not a rental desk’s. Orlando numbers its shuttle bays instead, as the ten bays MCO assigns to thirty six off-airport companies sets out.

Renting, parking or being driven at DJT, priced from what each issuer publishes

Only two of the three ways out of DJT carry published numbers. Parking is the airport’s own asphalt, so it prints rates: $8 maximum daily in the Economy Lot, $14 in Long-Term, $21 in Short-Term and $34 in Premium, with the day counted from lot entry. A week that crosses eight 24-hour periods is $64, $112, $168 or $272. The ladder behind those ceilings is set out in the four DJT parking products and the meter under each one.

Riding is Uber’s number, not the airport’s. Uber’s pickup page for DJT, still filed under the PBI code, publishes historical averages for the past month for trips from PBI to West Palm Beach: $16 for UberX, $21 for Priority, $22 for Comfort, $24 for UberXL, $29 for Premier and $38 for Premier SUV. Those are averages the company labels as such, not quotes.

For a traveler who needs no car during the stay, two UberX legs at Uber’s $16 average come to $32, which beats the Economy Lot from the fifth day onward and beats Long-Term from the third. The winner is the ride app on any stay past four nights, on the criterion that both figures are published by their issuer. The nuance is that one of the two is an average over a month of other people’s trips and the other is a posted ceiling. Renting cannot be entered in that comparison at all: the airport publishes what the fourteen companies grossed and never what one of them charges, so the third column has a revenue figure where a renter needs a rate. Port Canaveral renters face the mirror image of this, where handing the car back early is the priced decision, as the two clocks that govern a Port Canaveral rental shows.

Details on the DJT rental pages that change where a renter stands

  • Eight of the eleven listed numbers are toll-free reservation lines. Only Sixt at 1-561-228-5161 and Payless at 1-561-616-0771 carry a local 561 number, and Fox Europcar carries 1-954-947-5607, a Broward County code for a business the airport places on its own entrance road.
  • The non-concessionaire page names three operators and gives a phone for each: Datura Auto Rentals, an affiliate of Ace Rent a Car, at (800) 695-9995, Easirent at (561) 210-9539 and Go Rentals at (561) 701-2579. It publishes no address, no counter and no curb for any of the three, and the revenue report shows all three trading.
  • The three non-concessionaires grossed $277,651 in June 2026 between them, 3.58 percent of the total, so the roster the rental page links to as an afterthought covers about one dollar in twenty eight.
  • The browser tab on the non-concessionaire page still reads “Palm Beach International Airport Permitted Car Rental” and the ground transportation index still reads “Palm Beach International Airport Ground Transportation”, while the headings on both pages carry the new name. The rename took effect on 9 July 2026.
  • The airport FAQ answers its own rental question with a link to the old domain in plain text, and the same page carries 22 links pointing at pbia.org addresses. Those addresses still resolve, because the old domain redirects.
  • January is the month to check before assuming June rates apply. In January 2026 the fourteen grossed $20,498,098 against $18,466,764 a year earlier, on 393,015 deplaned passengers, which works out at $52.16 per arriving passenger against June’s $25.92. May 2026 sits between the two, at $10,673,380 against $10,002,238 a year earlier, or $32.83 for every arriving passenger.
  • The airline rates exhibit that Palm Beach County publishes for DJT prices gates, aprons, holdrooms and ticket counters. It contains no vehicle for hire charge, no transportation network company fee and no rental car concession percentage, so the rate a company pays the county appears in no public exhibit while its revenue appears in 66 of them.

Where a DJT rental plan comes apart

The first failure is booking Dollar or Thrifty and driving to a Dollar or Thrifty building. Both listings send rentals, returns and services to the Hertz facility at 3175 Belvedere Road, and Thrifty’s own coordinates sit a short distance from the point Hertz and Dollar share, so a returning driver following a map pin rather than the street address can arrive at the wrong corner of the right road with a flight to catch.

The second is treating the rental page as the roster. Its paragraph names nobody, and a reader who takes that literally concludes the airport has no rental companies, while the same airport publishes eleven brand pages and a monthly document naming fourteen firms.

The third is expecting the 10 to 15 minutes to be the rental wait. That figure is the Economy parking shuttle’s, measured from a call button the parking office answers. A renter landing at 11 p.m. has a further problem: the terminal is closed from 11 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., and no DJT page publishes an opening hour for any rental counter.

The fourth is budgeting from the airport’s site. The county publishes gross revenue to the dollar and publishes no rate, so the only DJT figures a renter can plan with are parking rates and the fare averages Uber posts for itself. The fifth is typing the old code: passenger systems moved from PBI to DJT on 18 August 2026, and Uber still files DJT under PBI.

Which DJT document each rental figure came from, and when it was read

The figures in this guide were verified in September 2026 against the sources named in each section. Parking rates usually change in January, shuttle fares and cruise line transfer prices change by season, and ship schedules change weekly; check the issuer’s page before you travel. No provider paid for placement here, and none can pay to appear. Where a booking link earns Lot and Gate a commission it is marked as sponsored and flagged in this line, and as of September 2026 no affiliate link is live anywhere on this site.

The two sentences, the page description and the link to the non-concessionaire roster came from the DJT car rental page. The eleven brands with their telephone numbers, street addresses, filed regions and coordinates came from the airport’s eleven Auto Rentals listing pages. The three non-concessionaires and their numbers came from the permitted non-concessionaire page. The desks on Level 1 and the “short complimentary shuttle ride” came from the airport FAQ, and the level’s contents from the terminal map. The rental car bus curb, the carousel 4 and 5 walkway, the 10 to 15 minute Economy figure and the four parking rates came from the airport’s parking page. All of those were read twice on 15 September 2026 with identical extracted text. The company revenues and passenger counts came from the Monthly Car Rental Gross Revenue reports for June 2026, May 2026, January 2026 and June 2025, which the airport links from its Car Rental Reports page; each was downloaded twice and read with a raw text extraction that matched on both passes. Sums, percentages, corporate groupings, per-passenger figures and distances between coordinates are our calculations from those documents. Ride app figures are Uber’s own published averages for DJT under the PBI code. The rename date and code change came from the airport’s name change FAQ.

What renters ask about picking up a car at the West Palm Beach airport

Six answers follow, built from the 15 September 2026 readings above. Where an issuer publishes no figure, the answer says so rather than filling the gap from a third party.

Does DJT airport publish what a rental car costs?

No. No page or document at President Donald J. Trump International Airport prints a daily rate, a fee or a surcharge for renting a car. The county publishes the opposite figure: what the companies collect. In June 2026 the fourteen named firms grossed $7,745,214 between them.

Which curb do rental car buses use at the West Palm Beach airport?

The outer curb reached by crossing the walkway from Domestic Baggage Claim near carousels 4 and 5. That instruction appears in the airport’s Economy parking directions rather than on its rental page, and the same outer curb on Level 1 also serves the parking shuttle and hotel courtesy shuttles.

Are DJT rental counters inside the terminal or out at the lots?

Both. Reservation desks sit in Baggage Claim on Level 1, and the cars sit elsewhere: all eleven listed brands are filed to addresses on Belvedere Road, James L. Turnage Boulevard or Bristol Drive, reached by what the airport calls a short complimentary shuttle ride. No page gives a distance or a drive time.

What separates a DJT concessionaire from a permitted non-concessionaire?

What the airport publishes about them. The eleven concessionaires each get a page with a phone, an address and coordinates. The three non-concessionaires, Datura Auto Rentals, Easirent and Go Rentals, get a name and a telephone number only. All fourteen appear in the monthly revenue report.

Which rental company grosses the most at DJT?

Hertz Corporation, at $1,649,733 in June 2026 against $1,484,947 in June 2025. Enterprise Leasing Company follows at $1,034,495 and Avis Rent A Car System, Inc. at $925,757. The smallest of the fourteen that month was Datura at $14,442, and Payless fell to $5,756.

Does the airport add a fee to a DJT rental car?

None that Palm Beach County publishes. Its rates and charges exhibit for DJT prices gates, aprons, holdrooms and ticket counters, and carries no vehicle for hire charge, no transportation network company fee and no rental concession percentage. Tampa, by contrast, publishes a charge for its named rideshare curbsides.

An airport that counts the rental money to the dollar and the renter’s bill not at all

Palm Beach County has published a monthly rental revenue statement for DJT every month since January 2021, naming every firm and totalling to the dollar, and in the same period its rental page has carried two sentences and no company name. A traveler who wants to know who rents cars at DJT gets a better answer from the finance section than from the rental section, and a better answer about where the bus stops from the parking section than from either.

The practical consequence is narrow and worth carrying onto the plane. The $8 Economy rate, the $16 UberX average and the $7,745,214 of June rental revenue are all real published figures, and only two of the three are any use at a counter. A renter arriving at DJT can find out which eleven brands are there, which building each one uses and which corporate group owns it, and will still not learn the price of a single day until the reservation screen loads.
