Ten shuttle permits, eleven hotel names and no published distance at DJT
President Donald J. Trump International Airport, formerly Palm Beach International (PBI), lists 10 hotels holding shuttle permits and 11 brand names across them, with no distance published for any. Parking beside the terminal runs $8 a day in the Economy Lot and $34 in Premium, while a UberX round trip averages $36.

That list is a permit roster, not a proximity ranking. It runs alphabetically from Best Western to Marriott, and every entry carries exactly three fields: a name, a street address and a telephone number. Above the list, Palm Beach County Department of Airports adds one instruction, that arrangements should be made directly with your hotel, and then stops.
Every airport figure below was read from flydjt.org on 15 September 2026 and read a second time the same day with a cache buster on the address. The hotel shuttle page, the ground transportation index, the airport FAQ, the travel tips page, the guide index, the directions page, the terminal map page and the public transportation page returned identical extracted text on both readings. County transit and commuter rail sites are not sources here, so nothing below rests on them.
| Hotel name as the airport prints it | Street address published | City | ZIP code | Telephone published |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Best Western Palm Beach Lakes Inn and Hawthorn Suites West Palm Beach | 1800 Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard | West Palm Beach | 33401 | 561-683-8810 |
| Doubletree Palm Beach Gardens | 4431 PGA Boulevard | Palm Beach Gardens | 33410 | 561-622-2260 |
| Doubletree West Palm Beach Airport | 1808 S. Australian Avenue | West Palm Beach | 33409 | 561-689-6888 |
| Embassy Suites | 1601 Belvedere Road | West Palm Beach | 33406 | 561-689-6400 |
| Hampton Inn | 1601 Worthington Road | West Palm Beach | 33401 | 561-472-7333 |
| Hilton Garden Inn | 1611 Worthington Road | West Palm Beach | 33401 | 561-472-5956 |
| Hilton Palm Beach Airport | 150 Australian Avenue | West Palm Beach | 33406 | 561-684-9400 |
| Holiday Inn Palm Beach Airport | 1301 Belvedere Road | West Palm Beach | 33405 | 561-659-3880 |
| Home2 Suites | 2375 James L. Turnage Boulevard | West Palm Beach | 33406 | 561-686-1006 |
| Marriott West Palm Beach Hotel | 1001 Okeechobee Boulevard | West Palm Beach | 33401 | 561-833-1234 |
Ten entries, ten addresses, ten telephone numbers, eleven brand names. The mismatch sits in the first row, where two brands share one permit and one line. Nothing else on the page varies from row to row.
Three fields per hotel is everything the Palm Beach County Department of Airports prints
Everything the hotel shuttle page carries is one instruction, one sentence about signage and a list. Counted in its visible text on 15 September 2026, the words mile, distance, free, complimentary, rate, fee, price and hour appear zero times, and no clock time appears at all. A permit is the only thing the county is certifying.
Read that against what the same airport writes about vehicles it controls. Its guide index calls the Economy Lot bus a complimentary shuttle service and gives the hours it pauses; its FAQ calls the ride to the rental lots a short complimentary shuttle ride. For the hotel vans the word is courtesy, and courtesy is the hotel’s word to honour, not the county’s. Whoever owns the vehicle owns the promise, which is the same split that governs the six telephone numbers DJT gives for ground transportation.
One more sentence deserves attention because it is the only thing resembling a service claim. The page description invites a traveler to view contact information for hotels offering this service and arrange your ride today. Arranging a ride today requires knowing when the van runs, and that figure is published by nobody: not in the list, not in the FAQ, not in the travel tips page. The county certifies who may drive onto its curb. Hours belong to the front desk.
Nine West Palm Beach addresses, one in Palm Beach Gardens, three sharing the terminal’s ZIP code
Sorted by the only geographic field the airport publishes, the 10 permits fall into five ZIP codes: four in 33401, three in 33406, and one each in 33405, 33409 and 33410. Nine addresses are in West Palm Beach and one, 4431 PGA Boulevard, is in Palm Beach Gardens.
The terminal’s own ZIP code is 33406, printed in the footer of every page beside its West Palm Beach street address. Three permits share it: Embassy Suites at 1601 Belvedere Road, Hilton Palm Beach Airport at 150 Australian Avenue and Home2 Suites, the one permit standing on the terminal’s own road. A shared postal code is weak evidence of a short ride, and it is stronger evidence than anything else on offer, because no airport page measures the gap.
Street names repeat in ways a booking screen hides. Worthington Road holds two permits ten street numbers apart, Hampton Inn at 1601 and Hilton Garden Inn at 1611. Belvedere Road holds two more, at 1601 and 1301, but in different ZIP codes, 33406 and 33405. Australian Avenue holds two, written as 1808 S. Australian Avenue and 150 Australian Avenue. Three streets therefore account for six of the ten permits.
Other airports in the region answer this question differently, and the contrast is worth pricing before booking. Orlando International publishes 24 properties ranked by distance, from 0.0 to 8.7 miles. Miami International publishes 34 hotel addresses with the doors their vans use. Tampa International is an airport that publishes no hotel address at all. DJT sits between them: it names the properties and it measures nothing.
The Level 1 map at DJT names ten rental brands and marks no hotel shuttle zone
Signs outside the terminal in Baggage Claim on Level 1 direct passengers to the area on the outer curb designated for pick-up by hotel courtesy shuttles. That sentence is the airport’s, and its own Level 1 terminal map, dated 8/26 and downloaded 15 September 2026, does not draw the area it describes.
What the map does draw is precise. Two lanes run along the arrivals frontage, labelled Inner Arrivals Curb and Outer Arrivals Curb. Six domestic baggage claim carousels are numbered 1 through 6. Ten rental car brands are named in three clusters: Avis, Dollar and Thrifty in one, Hertz, Fox Europcar, Alamo and National in the second, Sixt, Enterprise and Budget in the third. A twelve-symbol legend covers ATM, Baggage Claim, Dining, Ground Transportation and Taxi, Parking, Pet Relief Area, Rental Cars, Restrooms, Elevators, Vending Machine, Escalator and Stairs.
No symbol in that legend is a hotel shuttle, and no label on the outer curb says hotel. The public transportation page puts the Palm Tran bus stop on the same outer curb of Level 1, and the car rental page puts the rental desks in Baggage Claim on Level 1 as well. Three different services are assigned to one frontage, and only two of them are drawn. The practical consequence is narrow: the signage exists, the map does not confirm which end of it to stand at, and the driver on the phone is the one who knows.
Home2 Suites sits on the airport’s own entrance road, and the three hotels named Airport do not
Home2 Suites is published at 2375 James L. Turnage Boulevard, the same road as the terminal at 1000 James L. Turnage Blvd. One page carries both, writing the hotel’s street in full and the airport’s abbreviated, which is the closest the county comes to placing a hotel on a map.
Three of the eleven names contain the word Airport: Doubletree West Palm Beach Airport on Australian Avenue, Hilton Palm Beach Airport on Australian Avenue and Holiday Inn Palm Beach Airport on Belvedere Road. None of those three is the one on the entrance road. Seven of the eleven still carry the words Palm Beach, on a page whose own heading reads Hotel Shuttles, President Donald J. Trump International Airport (DJT). Hotel brands change signage on their own schedule, and searches follow the brand.
Australian Avenue carries a second complication for anyone routing a car. The directions page sends Florida Turnpike traffic southbound off Exit 97 at Southern Boulevard and then onto the Australian Avenue exit toward the airport. A release dated 16 December 2025 closed the airport exit onto Australian Avenue for repairs from 15 December 2025, a second release extended that closure through 31 January 2026, and both stated that the entrance from Australian Avenue was expected to close for a similar duration, with details announced later. Among the 21 press releases in the airport sitemap on 15 September 2026, no later release gives those dates.
What a room near DJT has to beat, priced against Economy parking and a pair of Uber averages
Price the alternatives on one trip and the numbers separate cleanly. Take two adults away for seven nights, crossing eight 24-hour periods, the unit the airport uses when it applies a daily maximum to each 24 hours or any part thereof. At the published ceilings that is $64 in the Economy Lot, $112 in Long-Term, $168 in Short-Term and $272 in Premium, a spread of $208 for one car on one trip. The DJT parking ladder recomputed increment by increment shows how each ceiling is reached.
Uber publishes the ride side on two pages that are easy to confuse, and the footnote under each says which is which. Its pickup page for the airport is labelled from PBI to West Palm Beach FL and gives past-month averages of $16 for UberX, $21 for Priority, $22 for Comfort, $24 for UberXL, $29 for Premier and $38 for Premier SUV, over 7,261 driver ratings. Its airport page carries an average price from West Palm Beach of $20, an average travel time of 18 minutes and an average distance of 6 miles. The larger ladder on that same airport page, $74 for UberX up to $151 for Premier, is footnoted from FLL to PBI, which is a different city in a different county.
| Way to spend the week | What the issuer publishes | Cost as priced here | Where it is paid | Limitation the issuer states |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Economy Lot at DJT | $8 maximum daily rate, $2 per 20 minutes | $64 for eight 24-hour periods | Cashier, credit card or SunPass at the lot | No cashier between 1 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.; about a five minute walk |
| Long-Term garage at DJT | $14 maximum daily rate, $2 per 20 minutes | $112 for eight 24-hour periods | Cashier, credit card or SunPass at the garage | Lot closes temporarily when it fills; no reservations taken |
| Premium garage at DJT | $34 maximum daily rate, $3 per 20 minutes | $272 for eight 24-hour periods | Self-payment by credit card or SunPass | Card or SunPass only; located outside Baggage Claim |
| UberX both directions | $16 from the airport, $20 to the airport, past-month averages | $36 for one round trip | In the Uber app, not at the airport | Averages rather than quotes; pickup is the Level 3 outer curb |
| Hotel courtesy shuttle from a permitted hotel | 10 permits with address and phone, no hours and no fare | Not published by the airport | Arranged directly with the hotel | No operating hours published for any of the ten |
Winners by scenario, on those published figures. For one traveler with no car needed during the stay, riding both ways at $36 beats $64 of Economy parking by $28, and the margin grows against every other lot. For two adults who would otherwise leave a car for seven nights, the ride pair still wins on price, and a room the night before only improves it if the hotel’s own charge, which the airport does not publish, comes in under the difference. For a party that needs a car during the stay or lands on separate flights, parking wins outright: each additional round trip adds $36 while the Economy ceiling does not move, so two round trips at $72 already exceed the $64 week.
Seven things to settle by phone with a DJT hotel, because the airport prints none of them
- The hours the van actually runs, measured against the airport’s own statement that the terminal is closed from 11 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. A permit says a vehicle may enter, not that one will.
- Whether a shuttle runs at all this season. The page lists permit holders and says arrangements are made directly with the hotel, which is the county declining to promise service.
- Which end of the outer curb on Level 1 to wait at, since the published Level 1 map labels the Inner and Outer Arrivals Curbs and marks no hotel zone on either.
- Whether the room rate includes parking during the trip, and at what nightly figure. The number to beat is $8 a day, because that is what the Economy Lot charges.
- The distance and the drive time, because no page at flydjt.org publishes either for any of the ten. Three of the ten share the terminal’s 33406 ZIP code and that is the strongest published hint available.
- Which brand answers 561-683-8810, the single number covering both Best Western Palm Beach Lakes Inn and Hawthorn Suites West Palm Beach.
- If the plan is a ride instead, the meeting window: Uber tells riders to meet the driver up to 45 minutes after the flight arrives for UberX, Comfort and XL, and within 60 minutes for Premier and Premier SUV.
Where a DJT hotel booking made from out of state goes wrong
First failure is the search itself. The airport instructs passengers to search DJT or the words West Palm Beach after the IATA code moved from PBI on 18 August 2026, while Uber still files the airport under PBI and three of the listed hotels still carry Palm Beach Airport in their names. A booking made on brand name alone can land at a property nobody has measured against the terminal.
Second is reading the list as a ranking. Alphabetical order puts Best Western first and Marriott last, and that order says nothing about proximity: the permit on the airport’s own entrance road appears ninth. Third is reading courtesy as free. Palm Beach County Department of Airports uses complimentary for the Economy and rental car shuttles it controls and never uses it for a hotel van.
Fourth is the late landing. With the terminal closed from 11 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., curbside stopping prohibited for waiting vehicles and no published hours for any hotel shuttle, a 1 a.m. arrival is a phone call made days earlier or it is a rideshare to the Level 3 outer curb. Fifth is treating Palm Beach Gardens as a suburb of the airport: 4431 PGA Boulevard is the single address outside West Palm Beach, and the county measures that gap no more than it measures the others. The $8 Economy ceiling and the shuttle that serves it remain the only prices in this chapter that the airport guarantees.
Every DJT page and asset behind these figures, and the date each was read
The figures in this guide were verified in September 2026 against the sources named in each section. Parking rates usually change in January, shuttle fares and cruise line transfer prices change by season, and ship schedules change weekly; check the issuer’s page before you travel. No provider paid for placement here, and none can pay to appear. Where a booking link earns Lot and Gate a commission it is marked as sponsored and flagged in this line, and as of September 2026 no affiliate link is live anywhere on this site.
Hotel names, addresses and telephone numbers come from the hotel courtesy shuttles page at flydjt.org, read twice on 15 September 2026 with identical extracted text. Parking ceilings and shuttle conditions come from the airport guide index and the airport FAQ; the closed terminal window and the curbside prohibition from the travel tips page; the exits and lot routing from the directions page; the curbs and the six ground transportation telephone numbers from the ground transportation index; the bus stop and the two rail station addresses from the public transportation page. Curb labels, carousel numbers and the ten rental brands come from the airport’s own Main Terminal Level 1 map, marked 8/26 and downloaded the same day. Closure dates come from the airport’s releases of 16 December 2025 and 23 January 2026. Ride figures are Uber’s own past-month averages for the airport it files under PBI, with the airport page and the pickup page read twice each on 15 September 2026 and their footnotes quoted as published. County transit pages are not sources in this guide.
Booking a room near the West Palm Beach airport, answered from the airport’s own pages
Six answers follow, built from the 15 September 2026 readings above. Where an issuer publishes no figure, the answer says so instead of filling the gap from a third party.
President Donald J. Trump International Airport lists 10 permit holders: Best Western Palm Beach Lakes Inn and Hawthorn Suites, Doubletree Palm Beach Gardens, Doubletree West Palm Beach Airport, Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Palm Beach Airport, Holiday Inn Palm Beach Airport, Home2 Suites and Marriott West Palm Beach Hotel, each with a street address and a telephone number.
No. Its hotel shuttle page publishes a name, a street address and a telephone number for each of the 10 permits, and no mileage, no drive time and no walking distance. Nine of the addresses are in West Palm Beach and one is in Palm Beach Gardens, as the page stood on 15 September 2026.
Not on the published Level 1 map. That map labels an Inner Arrivals Curb and an Outer Arrivals Curb and names 10 rental car brands, and its legend carries no hotel shuttle symbol. The hotel page states that signs in Baggage Claim on Level 1 direct passengers to the designated outer curb area.
No airport page prints a taxi or rideshare fare. Uber publishes past-month averages on two separate pages: $16 for UberX from PBI to West Palm Beach, and $20 for the reverse leg over an average 6 miles and 18 minutes. Both are historical averages rather than quotes, read on 15 September 2026.
Home2 Suites, at 2375 James L. Turnage Boulevard, sits on the same road as the terminal at 1000 James L. Turnage Blvd. The three hotels whose names include the word Airport are on Australian Avenue and Belvedere Road instead. No airport page measures any of those gaps in miles or minutes.
The travel tips page states that the airport is closed from 11 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., and no page publishes operating hours for any of the 10 permitted hotel shuttles. Vehicles are prohibited from stopping unattended at the curb, so a 1 a.m. arrival rests on what the hotel confirms by telephone.
A permit roster doing the work of a distance list
Palm Beach County Department of Airports publishes exactly what a permit office knows: who applied, where they are and how to reach them. Ten rows, three fields, alphabetical. Everything a traveler actually books on, the distance, the hours, the price and whether the van is running this month, belongs to the eleven brands on the other end of those ten telephone numbers.
That reading also explains the map. A terminal drawing shows the concessions the airport signed, so ten rental brands are printed on it and the hotel vans, which hold a permit and no concession, are represented by a sign at the curb and nothing else. Both documents are consistent once the question changes from where is my hotel to what did the county agree to.
So the useful comparison at DJT is not hotel against hotel. It is $64 of Economy parking against $36 of published ride averages against a room rate the airport will never quote, and the only figure in that sentence with the county’s name on it is the $64.
